Of course potential and actual are rather different things. Personally, i'd pass :DTXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17346793726358246540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5117345207179953728.post-45489213396289621592007-07-31T23:01:00.000+10:002007-07-31T23:01:00.000+10:00Hey man, the purpose in life is satisfying, wholes...Hey man, the purpose in life is satisfying, wholesome relationship. J.R.R. Tolkien said death was the "gift" of man. He definitely had a point. Haven't got to Interview with the Vampire yet.
Sure there are always sources of novelty around but after a while people seem to get numbed to them. Well maybe it'll get a bit of a reaction like "WOW!" but i think many couldn't care less after that.
As for the heartless folks well, they aren't worth talking about. >:D. No seriously, they aren't. To me anyway. Well, not YOU since I know you care but why did you use "us" in the first place? Oh wait, did you use "us"? I forget :PTXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17346793726358246540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5117345207179953728.post-64308568394500159902007-07-20T08:05:00.000+10:002007-07-20T08:05:00.000+10:00Oh wait, did I say 'us'? There are always sources of novelty around. One wouldn't have to be a jack of all trades, master of none - just go and spend the time mastering everything one at a time.Having unlimited wealth would help, but if you're going to live forever, stick a bit of money in a bank and live off the interest (this requires some discipline and patience, but you need it if you're gonna live forever.
Actually, did you read Maya? Jostein Gaarder had a little bit to say about immortality there. Interview with the Vampire has a slightly different take.~tengman.k.~https://www.blogger.com/profile/01777705210064801855noreply@blogger.com
